The Haygood family were such great sports during their photo session! It was freezing, but they fought through it and got some good pictures. We are so excited to finally post pictures from Stephanie and Wally's wedding! This was an extra special wedding for us, because Becca has known Stephanie most of her life, and Stephanie was in her wedding. Needless to say, we were very excited when Stephanie chose us to be her wedding photographers! Stephanie looked beautiful, and her dress was gorgeous. We had such a great time with all the wedding party, which made for no dull moments. Also the train depot, where the reception was held, was a very unique and beautiful location. Yesterday Flyaway Photography photos were displayed in Lola Blue's trunk show at Jackson Academy. We were super excited, because the pictures looked great in the large frames. Thank you Laura Helen for displaying them, and we hope you sold a ton of frames. Everything looked beautiful! These are a few pictures she took with her phone. You can see our pictures on the doors!

Stephanie's Bridal Portraits

We are so excited we can finally post these pictures, since the wedding was last weekend. You may remember Stephanie and Wally from their engagement session. Stephanie's wedding gown was beautiful and looked great on her. The wedding reception was held at the Train Depot downtown, so what better place to take bridal portraits than downtown also. There was definitely some hollers and congratulations from the cars passing by. We had a great time walking around with Stephanie and are so grateful to have been apart of her wedding day!

This past weekend we got to meet Annie Sorgenfrei! She is such a beautiful baby, and everybody was so excited to see her. Shelby her sister was in constant guard of her and wanted to hold her all the time, which was so cute. She is going to be a great big sister. We are so thankful to have a new family member!

In case you are wondering, the parents of Annie are Andrew's (my husband) cousins. Brian is the RUF minister at Mississippi State University, click here to check out what is going on at RUF in Starkville. Anytime we go to Starkville we get to see them and fortunately it was only a couple of days after Annie was born! Welcome to the world Annie!

Dan, Katie and Sam were so much fun to work with. Sam had so much energy, and was always smiling and laughing. He has the greatest laugh, and it very was contagious. We spent most of the time at the playground going down slides, crossing bridges and going through tunnels. They were all so nice, and I had so much fun playing with Sam. I have never been to Rhodes College before, but I will tell you it has some of the prettiest buildings I have ever seen. Its campus is small but very scenic, and where we decided to take pictures of sweet Eleanor. The Hays family was so kind and very easy to work with. The Thompson's were such a great family to work with. Hil and Wilson (the twin boys) were so polite and did everything I asked of them, and Hank the youngest was full of smiles! Everybody looked handsome, and we had such a great time taking pictures. We took pictures at Second Presbyterian in Memphis, and the setting was beautiful. That church has gorgeous courtyards. I am very thankful I got to take their photos and hang out with this fun family!

This weekend we went to Memphis and were able to spend some great time with some great friends and families! The weather was beautiful, slightly warm, but thankfully not as hot as it has been. Almost Two

The fall weather is finally here! It is beautiful right now in Jackson, Mississippi. This made for a perfect time to take pictures of Avery and Maddux. Becca and I always have an entertaining time when trying to get these two to look at the camera, especially when there are toys around. Thankfully some of them were bubble toys and we were all interested. Avery and Maddux are growing up so fast, and Avery is looking more and more like Becca, and Maddux looks just like Kellen (Becca's husband). I can't believe they are almost two! I am so thankful to have Becca as a friend and have the twins in my life. They always make my days a little better!

Fall Is Approaching

We hope everyone has had a great Labor Day weekend! It sure has been beautiful weather, and it seems as though fall might be fast approaching. The weather was a nice change from the extreme heat and great for watching football! With it being a long weekend, we were able to see many relatives visiting from out of town. Of course, since it was so nice outside we were able to get in a quick photo shoot with them.

We were so excited to be the wedding photographers for Marcheta and Nick's wedding! We knew to expect the best, because of our previous session with them to take engagement photos. This weekend in Birmingham, where I (Christi) am originally from, I finally got to meet Caroline. Her parents have been great friends of my parents for a long time. I was really excited when Cherise emailed us to take pictures of their 1 year old, Caroline. The story of Caroline is truly a miracle and a great example of how God works and his many blessings! Ask me sometime, and I will be happy to tell you. We took the pictures at Aldridge Gardens. It turned out to be beautiful weather and a beautiful park.

Caroline was so sweet and very friendly. Everyone at the park who walked by, she would wave at and want to talk to. It was so funny. I am so glad I finally got to meet this little girl!

Wally & Stephanie

Last weekend it was such beautiful weather, and we had the great opportunity to take pictures of a beautiful couple. They were worried they would not be photogenic, but as you can see they were clearly wrong. Stephanie and Becca lived next door to each other growing up, and both of their parents still live in those same houses. Needless to say, they have been very good friends for a very long time.

We took pictures off of the Natchez Trace, and the setting and colors were beautiful. I absolutely love that the sun stays out for so long.

We are so excited they are engaged! We cannot wait to take their wedding pictures in the fall, and are so thankful to be apart of the happy couple's special days! Thanks you guys for letting us take your pictures!

Reeves' Twins - 6 Months!

One absolute wonderful advantage of being a photographer is seeing people change and grow. On Sunday we had the opportunity to take pictures of the Reeves' twins for the second time. Some of you might remember them from a couple of months ago but look how much they have grown!! It is so fun to see how their personalities are starting to form and you can even tell in some of the pictures! The Reeves family is always a joy to work with and HOPEFULLY next time it will be warm enough for us to take some pictures outside!

The grandparents were in town for the weekend, and we were able to get some photos with them. They were so helpful in making the twins laugh and smile for the camera.

Farmer Twins

Becca and I decided since the weather was so beautiful Saturday we had to take some pictures. We did not have a session scheduled, but we wanted to be outside so bad. What better subjects than Avery and Maddux? They never fail to entertain in our sessions with them! Of course Becca can photograph them any day, but it helps having one person to make them smile and the other snapping photos. One will look at the camera and the other will turn away, and then the complete opposite will happen the next set of pictures. We always have a good time, I enjoy the time I get to spend with them!

They both have the pretties eyes. The blue always stands out so much! Avery looks just like Becca, and Maddux looks just like Kellen. It is very funny.

Richard and Meggie

When we were asked to take pictures of Richard and Meggie we were so excited. Richard is my (Christi) husband's old college roommate and friend as well as my friend. We have all had some good times together. It was very special for me to get to take him and his fiancee's pictures. They are such a great couple and really fun to photograph. We took the pictures at Richard's farm, which was a great setting! This is also where they are getting married in April. I felt like a true cowgirl.

The cow in the picture above was so funny, because he just stood right there and stared at us the whole time. It was kind of scary, because there was another huge bull standing on the other side of us, and I was not quite as trusting of him. Needless to say, I was prepared to run and jump on the old truck bed.

We even were graced with the presence of Ruger. I got to know Ruger when he was a puppy, and he was so cute. It was so great getting to see Richard and Meggie! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of this special time.

Martha Howell-Massage Therapist

I was really excited when Martha, my cousin-in-law, asked us to take some head-shots for her and some pictures of her massaging her client for some ads she will be putting out! She is a great massage therapist here in Jackson, so you must look her up. She also won 1st place for Best Massage Therapist in the Jackson Free Press! It was great to get to spend sometime with her, and she was such a good sport about walking around and trying different backdrops for her head-shots. I am so excited she is doing so well, and I hope she enjoys her pictures. These are just a few of our favorites.

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of taking photos of the Hendricks family. They were great sports, considering it was 30 degrees outside. It was Mr. Hendricks' birthday, and his two daughters and grandchildren surprised him by coming into town for the weekend. Kathryn and John

We had so much fun taking pictures of John and Kathryn this weekend, considering we have known them for awhile. We all went to college together, and we all went to RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) at Mississippi State. John has been one of Becca and her husband's best friends for a very long time. Recently, John and Kathryn returned from a two year stay in Scotland, so it was great to spend sometime with them and catch up with John's continuous humor. Needless to say, we were very excited about getting to take their pictures, and there was never a boring moment.

It was so sweet, because if I remember correctly, this was Kathryn's grandmother's dress. So it was very important to her for it to be recognized in the photos. What a great memory!

Reeves Twins

This weekend Becca and I had the privilege of taking pictures of the Andrews family. They were such a beautiful family, and there son, B, was so cute. Unfortunately we scheduled the shoot during the Saints game, so their family members were giving us updates the whole time. Thankfully the Saints won. Who dat!

We could not have been more blessed. It was very cold outside, but thankfully the sun came out towards the end of the shoot, and the leaves were not completely all fallen and still had some beautiful color. The shoot was very successful, and we are very thankful they chose us to take their family photos.

Baby BCJ

We had the pleasure of doing our first infant photo shoot. Tiffany, Becca's friend from high school and college, let us use her new born who is only four weeks old. It was definitely a very different experience from all our other shoots, because infants don't really do much. However, she could not have been a better baby, and Tiffany was well prepared for outfit changes and blanket changes.

Newman Family

This weekend Becca and I (Christi) had the opportunity to photograph one of my boss' and his family. We knew this would be a challenge, because their three children are 8, 6 and 4. It was definitely going to be a chase. However, it was great practice and a great experience!

Andrea, the mom, is due with their fourth child in March I believe, but don't hold me to it. Anyways, the kids are very excited, and they found out recently it is going to be a boy. (Pierce said it looked like an alligator, when he saw a picture of the baby.)
Needless to say, we had a great time, and are very appreciative to have such a fun family to shoot! I hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

Getting Started

Christi and I (Becca) have known each other since our freshman year of college (2002). She has been a wonderful friend and we have SO many memories. When Christi approached me about maybe starting this business I was very excited. She is a very talented photographer and I'm glad she considered me as a good partner. So without further ado, here is our official logo.

After around 30 drafts we decided on this logo. What do you think?? I think it's perfect.

Grand Opening

This weekend we had the pleasure of taking photos of Diane and Lee for our first photo shoot. Becca could not have picked a better couple to start off with. They were awesome and so much fun to take pictures of! Their outfits, including scarf and tie, made the colors really pop. Needless to say, it was a great success.
